Last month, I traveled from Denver to London where I attended the London Domain Summit on August 22nd and 23rd. It was my first time in England and the experience turned out to be an exceptional one.
The London Domain Summit was a unique gathering of domain investors and industry professionals from all over the world providing new perspectives on the domain industry that I wouldn't have encountered at typical U.S. domain conferences. With 250+ attendees, I had a chance to meet many U.K. based domain industry folks all of whom were very welcoming. I had a fantastic time discussing domains and other topics with new friends over drinks and meals in some very cool London pubs, brew houses and restaurants.
One of the highlights of the Summit was being invited to speak on a panel about 'Buying and Selling Premium Domains.' As a premium domain broker, it was an honor to share some of my thoughts and experiences with the audience. I had the privilege of learning from my fellow panelists, each of whom brought a unique perspective to the topic. It was fascinating to hear their success stories, innovative strategies, and tips for navigating the domain market. The panel discussion allowed for a candid exchange of ideas and strategy, providing attendees with practical insights and actionable takeaways to help sell domains from their investment portfolios.
The success of the London Domain Summit is a testament to the hard work and dedication of Helmuts Meskonis, the conference organizer. The event was well-organized, with a diverse range of sessions that catered to the interests of attendees and parties that all took place at the Hilton Metropole of London near Hyde Park, Kensington Palace and other top U.K. destinations.
In summary, my trip to London for the Domain Summit was a rewarding experience. While I didn’t stay long enough to do too much sightseeing, I found immense value in meeting domain investors and industry participants from the U.K. and around the world, sharing insights on the panel, and witnessing the Summit's success left me looking forward to the 2024 show. Congratulations to Helmuts for a job well done, I will certainly plan on attending the Summit again next year.
